Arizer Solo 3 V2 Update — What Did They Fix?
Share
Ok so let’s talk Solo 3 V2.
If you’ve been following Arizer for a while, you know they move slow. Like, tectonic plate slow....
But when they do make a change – it’s often worth paying attention to. The Solo 3 had some serious hype, and now they’ve dropped a V2 update and snuck it in quietly. No neon banners, no fireworks, just a stealthy little revision with some pretty meaningful changes.
So here’s what’s actually changed:
1. The Touchscreen is Actually Good Now
They've refined the touch UI, which on the original Solo 3 felt like trying to swipe on a phone with sticky fingers. Now? Much more responsive. You won’t feel like you're arguing with your vape every time you want to change temps.
2. The Draw Resistance is Lower
This is probably the biggest one. The first Solo 3 had great flavour, but it felt like sipping a milkshake through a cocktail straw. They’ve fixed the airflow, and it's noticeably more open. Still not a DynaVap ripper or anything wild, but for an Arizer? This is a big move.
3. Mode 3 is Back
They’ve brought back a session mode that behaves more like classic Arizer-style hits. Less intense extraction, more sippable, chill sessions. Great if you like a mellow draw that doesn’t nuke your herbs in 2 seconds flat.
4. Heat Profile Tweaks
Some internal adjustments mean better heat distribution. It heats more evenly, so you don’t get those slightly burnt rims or that feeling of "wait, half of this bowl hasn’t done anything yet."
5. Quieter Startup
Sounds small, but it’s not. That old beep? Gone. It starts up with a gentle vibration now – much nicer for stealth or those of us who use these things when the rest of the house is asleep.

Is it worth upgrading if you already own the Solo 3? Probably not essential, unless you found the original draw way too tight or the touchscreen unbearably clunky. But if you’re in the market and haven’t pulled the trigger yet, the V2 is the one to get. No question.
Arizer have always done things their way – conservative, quiet, almost frustratingly careful. But credit where credit's due: the Solo 3 V2 feels like a real improvement, not a gimmick. No unnecessary features, no nonsense, just refinement.
Now, if they ever get around to releasing that ArGo 2...
