Volcano Replacement Parts: Balloon Bags, Screens, Bubbler and When to Replace Them
Share
The Volcano parts you replace most often are balloon bags and chamber screens. Easy Valve and Solid Valve use different bags and screens, and you can also add water with an easy glass bubbler between the filling chamber and the bag, or with a 14 mm water pipe bag adapter after the bag is filled.
This guide covers the in-stock Volcano replacement parts we sell, based on what each product page states. Browse the full range in our Volcano vaporizer accessories and replacement parts collection. Everything linked below is a third-party accessory made by The Vapetrix, not an official Storz & Bickel part.

1. Easy Valve vs Solid Valve
Volcano desktop devices use one of two valve systems. Bags and screens are not interchangeable between them, so check which system you have before you order.
- Easy Valve: the bag assembly includes an Easy Valve. Our ready-to-use replacement balloon bag and both Easy Valve screen sets are made for this system only.
- Solid Valve: you keep a reusable valve and fit loose bags onto it (or use a reusable Easy Valve balloon adapter). Our pack of 12 loose bags and both Solid Valve screen sets are for this style of setup.
If you are not sure, look at your current bag: a sealed Easy Valve bag has the valve built in; a Solid Valve setup uses a separate valve you reuse with loose bags.
2. Balloon Bags
Bags stretch, cloud and eventually leak. Replacing them restores airflow and vapour capture.
- Easy Valve, ready to use: the Replacement Balloon Bag for Easy Valve is a standard-size bag with an integrated Easy Valve. The product page says it is for Easy Valve systems only, needs no tools, and does not fit Solid Valve. It is sold as 1 to 4 bags per order.
- Loose bags, pack of 12: the Replacement Balloon Bags, 58 x 38 cm, pack of 12 are bags only. They suit Volcano Classic, Digit/Digital and Hybrid when you already have a Solid Valve or a reusable Easy Valve balloon adapter. Valve, mouthpiece, filling chamber and device are not included. The film is heat-resistant polyester.
Which bag should you buy? If your current bag has the valve built in, buy the Easy Valve replacement. If you already keep a reusable valve or adapter and only change the bag film, buy the 12-pack of loose bags.
3. Screens
Screens sit in the filling chamber path and catch plant material so it does not travel into the bag. Fresh screens keep airflow open. All of the sets below are stainless steel.
Easy Valve screens
- Normal Screen Set for Easy Valve: 30 mm diameter, 0.1 mm thick, sold as 6 or 12 screens. For Easy Valve only.
- Fine Screen Set for Easy Valve: also 30 mm and 0.1 mm, with a finer mesh for tighter filtration. For Easy Valve only.
Solid Valve screens
- Normal Screen Set for Solid Valve: each 6-screen pack includes 3 upper screens, 3 lower screens, plus a nut and washer. A 12-screen option includes two nuts and washers.
- Fine Screen Set for Solid Valve: the fine-mesh Solid Valve set, also supplied as 3 upper and 3 lower screens with nut and washer (6-screen pack), or double that for 12 screens.
Normal or fine? Choose normal mesh for everyday balanced airflow. Choose fine mesh if you want tighter filtration and do not mind a slightly more restricted draw. Always match Easy Valve or Solid Valve to the system you own.
4. When to Replace Bags and Screens
There is no fixed calendar date on the product pages, so use condition instead:
- Replace a bag when it is worn, stretched, cloudy, split, hard to clean, or no longer holds vapour well. The Easy Valve bag page and the 12-pack page both describe these as the usual reasons to change bags.
- Replace screens when they are clogged, damaged, or airflow feels restricted even after cleaning. Keep a spare set so you can swap while another soaks.
A clean screen and a sound bag do more for consistent sessions than buying extra accessories you do not need yet.
5. Water: Easy Glass Bubbler vs 14 mm Bag Adapter
Water is optional. Two in-stock options suit different habits.
The Easy Glass Water Bubbler for Volcano Hybrid and Classic is borosilicate glass that sits between the filling chamber and your balloon or whip connection. Internal percolation holes diffuse vapour through water. The product page lists compatibility with Volcano Hybrid, Classic and Digit, and with compatible Easy Valve and Hybrid Valve style setups. It is plug-and-play: fit it, add a small amount of water, and remove it before emptying or cleaning so no water reaches the device.
The 14 mm Water Pipe Bag Adapter connects a filled Easy Valve or Hybrid style balloon bag to a 14 mm water pipe, bubbler or downstem. You fill the bag first, then cool the vapour through your own water piece. It is a compact borosilicate adapter with a 14 mm male connection. Check that your water pipe has a matching 14 mm female joint.
Which water option? Choose the easy glass bubbler if you want water in the path while the bag fills. Choose the 14 mm bag adapter if you already own a water pipe and prefer to cool after the bag is full. Use the phrase water pipe, not other slang, when you check joint sizes.
6. Cleaning and Care
Product pages for bags and screens recommend isopropyl alcohol where appropriate. Rinse well and dry fully before reuse. Replace a bag rather than fighting one that is stained or stretched beyond cleaning. For glass bubblers and adapters, empty the water, soak in isopropyl alcohol, rinse, and dry completely before the next session. Handle glass over a soft surface.
7. What to Order First
- Easy Valve owner, first restock: one or more Easy Valve bags plus a normal Easy Valve screen set.
- Solid Valve (or reusable adapter) owner: the 12-pack of loose bags plus a Solid Valve normal screen set.
- Want water next: easy glass bubbler for in-path cooling, or the 14 mm bag adapter if you already have a water pipe.
We are not linking the whip tube set or the hybrid starter set here while stock is limited to a single unit; the parts above are the everyday consumables.
Quick Answers
Will an Easy Valve bag fit a Solid Valve Volcano? No. The Easy Valve bag page states it is for Easy Valve only.
Are the loose 58 x 38 cm bags a full valve assembly? No. They are bags only and need your existing Solid Valve or reusable Easy Valve balloon adapter.
Do I need both the bubbler and the 14 mm adapter? No. They solve water cooling in different places in the path. Pick one style first.
Are these official Storz & Bickel parts? No. They are third-party accessories made by The Vapetrix to fit the listed Volcano setups.
Final Thoughts
Start with the correct bags and screens for your valve type, replace them when wear shows, and add water only if you want cooler vapour. You can see every part we stock for this device in the Volcano accessories and replacement parts collection.
