Stays on
The thick silicone grips the outside of the stem.

Load your stem
Fill the stem as usual.
Cap it
Stretch a cap over the outside of the stem end.
Carry it
Pop it in your bag. The cap keeps the contents in.
Uncap and use
Pull the cap off and fit the stem. Wash caps in warm soapy water.
